One hundred gallons of copper, soldered by you. The 100 Gallon EZ Kit is for builders who have outgrown the hobby bench and want a full-scale still that they understand down to the last seam.
Big-scale science
The basic chemistry is the same at any size. Heat drives vapor up from the pot, it travels through copper, and it condenses back into liquid. Then the distiller decides where the cuts fall. At 100 gallons, though, every choice carries more weight. Heat takes longer to build, the run lasts longer, and patience and good records pay off. This is a still for people who like the method as much as the result.
Why build it yourself
- You know every joint. Soldering the kit yourself means you understand how the still holds together.
- You can maintain it. Someone who built a still can look after it.
- You get the craft. Turning sheet copper into working equipment is real alchemy of its own.
This listing is offered in one size, 100 Gallon. The kit starts at $1699, and it's handmade American copper from our family shop.
Run it legally
Owning a still is legal in the US. A still this size usually means production, and producing any alcohol, fuel alcohol included, requires federal permits from the TTB. Stills can also be used for water and essential oils. Always follow federal, state, and local law.
