The smallest FlameFlow™ and a new way to heat a still
Most pot stills heat from the bottom and leave the rest to luck. The FlameFlow™ design changes that, and the 6 gallon model is the easiest way to see the difference on your own bench. We built this unit to heat up in half the time of our standard stills. It is less likely to scorch and burn your mash, which gives you an even finer result. It also lets you control the heat more easily and more accurately.
That last part is where the scientist in you takes over. Copper, flame, vapor and the moment you decide to make a cut: every run is an experiment. Steadier heat means fewer variables you didn't choose. When the temperature behaves, you can learn from what you're watching and repeat what worked.
Why start with the 6 gallon
Maybe you're new to copper. Maybe you want a compact still for small test batches. Either way, the 6 gallon is the way into the FlameFlow™ line. It uses the same patented heating idea as our larger units, in a size that suits trial runs, recipe changes and learning how your still responds when you turn the heat up or down.
- Heats up faster than our standard units
- Less risk of scorching your mash
- Easier, more accurate heat control
Be the judge
We believe FlameFlow™ is where distillation is headed. Still, the honest test is your own. Fire it up, watch closely and decide for yourself.
Use it the right way
Owning a copper still is legal in the US. People use stills to distill water and essential oils, and to make fuel alcohol with a permit. Distilling alcohol requires federal TTB permits. Please follow all federal, state and local laws.
