The Craft Distillation Unit is our most flexible still. It's the same complete copper design in eighteen sizes, from a 1 gallon bench unit up to a 100 gallon workhorse. Prices start at $329, so you can begin small or go straight to the size you've been planning.
Pick your scale
Every distiller is part alchemist and part scientist, and the first decision is scale. A small unit is a great tabletop lab. You can run short batches, watch the vapor and condensation up close, and practice making cuts without committing a whole day. Larger sizes are for people who already know their process and want more from each run. It's the same copper and the same idea, just a different amount in the pot.
Available sizes
- Small: 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 gallon
- Mid-range: 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 gallon
- Large: 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, and 100 gallon
Why copper
Copper has long been the distiller's metal because it handles heat well and works with the vapor as it moves through the still. This is a durable, complete copper distillation unit, so you're not hunting for extra parts before your first run.
More than one use
Copper stills are legal to own in the US and are used to distill water, draw essential oils from plants, and make fuel alcohol with a permit. Producing alcohol requires a federal TTB permit. Always follow federal, state, and local law.
